Shifting Perspective

Focusing on the positive things and meditating on the good can really help us stay grounded during this sobering time. Like all of you I have a real cause for concern during this pandemic. I have elderly parents.My sister is experiencing a high-risk pregnancy and my brother is a police officer in a state with thousands of COVID-19 cases. I want more than anything for all of them to stay safe and healthy.

 So many questions are swirling about this corona virus and no one has any answers. There’s no cure and no end in sight as this disease consumes the globe. But I’ve chosen to put my trust in God our helper and deliverer.

 I wanted to share a psalm that I have been praying over my family and all of the front-line workers. I hope you take it and pray it over your loved ones. May it bless you, give you hope and strengthen your faith.

Psalm 121

I lift up my eyes to the mountains

Where does my help come from?

My help comes from the Lord,

The Maker of heaven and earth.

He will not let your foot slip

He who watches over you will not slumber;

indeed, he who watches over Israel

 will neither slumber nor sleep.

The Lord watches over you.

The Lord is your shade at your right hand;

the sun will not harm you by day,

nor the moon by night.

The Lord will keep you from all harm

He will watch over your life;

The Lord will watch over your coming and going

Both now and forevermore.
